About the Author
Lisa J. Chambers graduated from the University of Iowa with a BS in pharmacy, and also attended the College of Saint Benedict, where she majored in the natural sciences. She lives in Minnesota with her husband, Joel, and their three daughters, Therese, Clare, and Ella, and she works as a retail pharmacist. Her daughters were her inspiration as she wrote this book, because she wanted them to know who their grandmother was.
As Chambers searched for information about the loss of a mother for the book, she discovered that there has been little written from the perspective of a child who grew up without a mother. By sharing her story with a wider audience, Chambers reaches out beyond her own family to help others dealing with similar loss.
